What is the Sponser A Horse Program?
We have created a Sponser A Horse program for horse lovers like you. To help with feed, health care, and related costs, and to involve young people and adults in the lives of the horses here at the farm, we are looking for people to sponsor our horses. If you are someone who loves horses and loves our farm, this exciting opportunity may be just for you.
Daily, each of our horses eat about 25 lbs of hay or grass and are supplemented with a high quality grain to keep them in top shape. Each horse is also kept up to date on deworming, vaccinations, hoof care, dental care, and the list goes on. This can really add up in one year. Your participation in Sponser A Horse will help!
How Can I Sponser A Horse?
You, your family, your youth group, scout troop or church can participate. Simply select a horse, you can choose the horse or horses that you would like to sponser, and donate $250 to sponsor one horse at the farm for one year.
Find out how to start, contact us at michelle1050@sbcglobal.net.

Duece is a 10 year old gelding with a heart as big as he is. He is a sweetheart, safe for anyone to ride. The great thing about Duece is even an experienced rider can have a blast with him. He will babysit if he needs to; or, he can really get with it and run barrels, rope, or jump. He rides western and english, is a solid trail horse, and has done a little bit of everything. He's slightly lazy but definitely loveable. :)
Amigo was my first horse. He is very special and will never be sold. He is my companion and my teacher. I have learned so much from him. I got him when he was 4 years old, he is now 14. He is 16 H and a beautiful boy. He has taken me everywhere I wanted to go and more. He let me train him for barrels, poles, flags, goat tying, and everything else those little shodeos could dream up. He also took me to the bigger jackpots and rodeos. He's been to Texas with me two times for Martha Josey's Clinics. He and I learned together how to team rope. He was a great heading horse and I even heeled off of him some. We have such a great relationship that I can ride him without any equipment at all. Bareback and bridleless; it's the best feeling in the world to have a relationship like that with a horse. He trusts me and I trust him. He knows tricks such as lay down, bow, and hug. He has also helped quite a few little kids learn how to ride in riding lessons. Unfortunately Amigo's riding days are pretty much over now because of an old racing injury that has progressively gotten worse. He is only able to walk and trot a little these days. He can't be trailered anywhere due to being unable to brace himself well but he is still happy and comfortable and will live out the rest of his days being pampered with lots of extra feed (he is a hard keeper), blanket in the winter, treats, and supplements to help with his injury. He deserves the best life I can give him. I couldn't have asked for a better horse; I am what I am today because of Amigo and many little girls would say the same thing about him. He is still safe for anyone to ride at slow paces in the arena. Amigo loves life and loves to be ridden. Treats and attention are great too! :)
Pistol is a gorgeous 7 year old mare I have had since she was a yearling. I have trained all her siblings and her mother. She is a very special girl. She knows barrels and poles, she loves working cattle, and she makes a good trail horse. She isn't appropriate for beginners because she has occasional moments of spookiness on trail and is spirited in the arena. She is tons of fun for someone with experience. We are very excited about the fact that she is pregnant right now and due this fall. The sire is a purebred Friesian and we are really excited to see what a beautiful baby she will produce. She is having time off of riding to have this foal and will be pampered accordingly. :)
Stormy is Pistol's colt from spring of 08. He is weaned and halter broke and sweet, sweet, sweet. :) He is the most gentle, friendly colt I've ever been around. He loves people and will walk up for a scratch. He is a very special boy and will make a great addition to our riding program when he's older. Until then...you guessed it, he's going to be pampered. ;)
Cricket is a coming 2 year old filly who will be an awesome addition to our riding string when she's broke. She is a sweetheart and very gentle and trainable. She is halter broke, started longing, and will soon be ready to be started on ground work with a saddle. She is a beautiful girl and we can't wait to get her started! :)
Booger is a coming 3 year old gelding. He is one of the sweetest, gentlest horses around. Big puppy dog personality. :) He was green broke to ride as a 2 year old but had all winter off. He will be restarted this spring. He will be an awesome addition to our riding string and has the personality to make a great beginner's horse once he has some age and experience under his belt. He is an 'in your pocket' horse. :)
Lacy is a 8 year old paint pony mare. She is a beautiful stocky girl with quite the personality. :) She is great for led pony rides or for riding with an intermediate and up rider. She can have a little bit of an attitude but in general is very sweet and loveable. ;)
